We Loved our experience at the El Palmar residence. Ruben is a delight to work with and very responsive if you have any questions. His home is beautiful for intimate celebrations like ours and for photoshoots. The property feels like an italian villa, such a treasure and a gem! Highly recommend:)

El Palmar was perfect for my son’s rehearsal dinner. Pictures are accurate of the multiple but cozy spaces. When the fairy lights come on at dusk, it’s truly magical. Rubén went above and beyond for us from the minute we booked, even providing a screen so we could show a video and helping us set up. Even guests from Miami were so impressed by the beautiful location and out of towners couldn’t believe I’d found such a perfect spot for the party when I live in NYC! Highly recommend this lovely location and Rubén as your host.

Awesome location! Host was extraordinarily helpful with the entire process and Micaela did an incredible job as our bartender (in the video and in real life!). Vibrant and colorful - felt like we were in Cuba.

About Miami Beach

Being on the southern end of Florida, Miami Beach can be considered a little slice of paradise by the water. With an exciting and vibrant culture, fantastic views, and all of that Miami flavor you’ve come to expect, Miami Beach is as close to an island resort as you’ll get in the state of Florida.

There’s one thing to say about the climate in Miami Beach: warm and humid. You’ll find that it stays warm even through winter most times. If you’re happy with sand and sun, then a Miami Beach wedding venue will be perfect.

Wedding Options in Miami Beach

Booking your Miami Beach wedding venue is only a small part of the wedding planning process. There is much more to do and several things to consider in order to make sure the big day is a success and all goes as you hoped.

  • Invitations
It’s a good idea to gauge the guest list by the size of the venue and only add more people if space and budget allow. Anyone who was at the bridal shower, engagement party, and perhaps even the bachelor/bachelorette parties will want to attend. Send the invitations a few months ahead to allow whomever you invite plenty of RSVP time.
  • Catering
Some wedding venues will also provide food service, but in the event they don’t, it’s important to consider bringing in an outside caterer to take care of food and beverages. A Lincoln catering company can help you decide on the menu and what style of food service you want, such as a buffet or sit down service.

  • Wedding Attire
Picking the right wedding dress, tux and accompanying shoes is critical. It’s a special day after all, who doesn’t want to look their absolute best? It’s important to pick these details out as early as possible so that you don’t lose out on the wedding attire you want. Starting six months before the date will give you plenty of opportunities to find the right accessories.

Wedding Companies in Miami Beach

Putting together a wedding in Miami can be a chore, with so many details. Rely on local businesses to help with the organizing so that your day is as special as you want it to be.

Eggwhites Special Event Catering offers a specialized wedding catering service with a diverse menu to meet anyone’s tastes. From shrimp cocktails and hors d'oeuvres to sushi and steak, there is plenty to choose from for guests to enjoy.

  • Unique Designer’s Cake
The wedding cake is an important piece of the celebration and represents a lot of the work that is put into getting a wedding together. Unique Designer’s Cake has been featured on Food Network and has some of the most elaborate cake designs you’ve likely ever seen. Everything from a tall floral-themed cake with a flower on top, to a large-scale Miami Beach resort with palm trees included, has been done here. You’ll find no shortage of inspiration and all the capable talent necessary to pull off even your wildest wedding cake ideas.

  • Couture Bridal Miami
The dress is the highlight of the ceremony. While the food and dancing may steal the show after the actual wedding is done, what the bride is wearing should capture all the attention while the wedding is still ongoing. Couture Bridal Miami mixes high fashion dress choices with custom designs to give you a vast dress selection in a local boutique setting. This means you can try on multiple types, styles, and prices of dresses all in one place and hopefully find your perfect match.

Pros and Cons of Weddings in Miami Beach

Warm and sunny are the hallmarks of Miami Beach. Add to that all the flavor that Miami has and you’ve got an excellent place to have a wedding. Just because the days are bright and sunny doesn’t mean everything is always perfect, however.

Advantages

  • Warm and sunny
If you like being outside for your wedding or just generally enjoy the sunshine, then Miami Beach is the ideal choice for your wedding. It stays warm year-round which means every season is available to have your wedding in.

  • Plenty to do
Sure you just got married, but that doesn’t mean you’ll rush straight off to your honeymoon without living it up on the town a bit first. You’ll find plenty to do for both families and people who enjoy the nightlife.

  • Many vendors
It doesn’t matter what you need to make your wedding exactly what you’d hoped, you’ll be able to find it. Miami Beach and surrounding areas have lots of vendors to choose from with several styles and price points.

Disadvantages

  • It rains, a lot
It might be sunny and warm a good portion of the time, but with all that warmth comes more than your fair share of showers, especially during the summer. This means that you’ll have to watch the forecast and plan carefully if you’re having your wedding outside. With a little luck, mother nature won’t put a damper on your special day.

  • Bugs
Unfortunately for you and your special day, bugs are big fans of the Miami heat and humidity. This means you’ll have to take proper care when planning your wedding outside. Just like with the weather though, the right preparations and it won’t bother you that much.

  • High cost of living
Being so close to Miami proper, Miami Beach shares a very high cost of living. This means that wedding venue rental prices and pretty much the prices for anything to do with your wedding will be higher than elsewhere.

Famous Locations in Miami Beach

  • Little Havana
Formed when the first settlers from Cuba arrived in Florida, Little Havana is a slice of Cuba on the mainland. With authentic food, music, and culture, it would be a shame not to visit it at least once after your wedding.

  • Bayfront Park
More of a seaside vista than you’ll find almost anywhere else, Bayfront Park is a waterside preserved natural area that offers activities, wide-open spaces and great views overlooking the water. You’re already in Miami Beach, why not take in some of the fantastic views at sunset to round out your stay after your wedding?

  • Everglades National Park
The Florida Everglades are some of the most diverse and ecologically important wetlands in the United States and the world for that matter. Everglades National Park is part of the park preservation efforts to keep the land around for people to see for years to come. A literal subtropical wilderness where you can in one moment see alligators swimming along and in the next, see migratory birds nesting, this park is truly a sight to behold.
