About Cedar Park
Cedar Park is one of the fastest-growing cities in Texas, located in Williamson County, approximately 20 minutes north of Austin, and is an essential part of the Greater Austin region. Located just 17 miles from downtown Austin, Cedar Park has all the advantages of a metropolis along with small-town living.
The name “Cedar Park” was coined by Emmett Cluck, son of George and Hattie Cluck, the city’s founders, due to the Cedarwood trees growing heavily in the area. Cedar Park was previously known as Running Brushy and then Brueggerhoff also.
Through the diverse economy, robust infrastructure, quality commercial expansions and reasonable housing, the city has become sustainable and vibrant without being exceedingly reliant on any single segment of the economy. The new roadways have been an integral part of Cedar Park’s growth as a community.
Cedar Park is becoming a preferred holiday locale due to its remarkable parks, concerts, professional sports amenities, family-friendly entertainment, shopping, dining, and so much more.
